What is Tana
Tana is an inventory app built for teams. From office supplies to warehouse materials, a store’s backroom, or household stock, everyone on the team can see what you have, how much, and where — from the same screen.
A spreadsheet only stays current for whoever last edited it. In Tana, using one item updates the count on the spot, and you’re notified before you run low.

The three building blocks
Section titled “The three building blocks”Tana’s inventory is built from these three:
- Items: what you count — a box of gloves, a roll of packing tape. See Items for details.
- Storages: where items are kept — a shelf, a case, a room, a vehicle. See Storages for details.
- Locations: the building or site a storage is in. Optional. See Locations for details.

Installing Tana
Section titled “Installing Tana”There are apps for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, plus a web app you can use in a browser. Sign in with the same account on any device to manage the same team’s stock.
- iPhone, iPad, and Mac: download Tana from the App Store.
- Computer and Android: open Tana’s web app in your browser. No install needed.
