Tags

A tag is a shared label you attach to items. Group items by keywords like category, use, or color — “Consumables,” “Cleaning,” “Red,” and so on.

Adding a tag

On an item’s details page, enter one in Add a tag under Tags. An item can have more than one tag. Add a tag to a recently used item

• Tags are shared across the team. Once a tag exists, you can reuse it on any other item.
• A tag can be up to 50 characters.
• Tags aren’t case-sensitive, so you won’t end up with duplicate tags that only differ in case.

Remove a tag you no longer want with the delete button next to it.

Finding items by tag

The item search box also matches tags. Search for a tag’s name to see every item that has it — handy for finding an item you can’t quite remember the name of, using a tag like “Cleaning” instead. Search items

Getting tag suggestions

In the iOS app, pressing Suggest tags analyzes the item on the device and suggests tags based on its content. This only works on supported devices (Apple Intelligence). On devices where it’s not available, add tags manually.

Using tags well

• Tag with the words your team actually searches by — use or storage location, for example.
• Agree on a tagging convention as a team, so everyone gets the same results when they search.
• Combine tags with photos when you’re searching by sight, or with storages when you’re searching by place.
