Storages
What holds it: a shelf, a case, a room, or a vehicle. Stock always lives somewhere, so “12 rolls of tape” really means “8 on Shelf A and 4 in the Backroom”.
Locations
The physical place your storages are in: a building, a floor, or a site. Optional — add one once “which shelf” alone stops being enough.
